How we handle the information you share with us — in plain language, without the legal fog.

Bombay17 Florist ("we", "us", "our") runs the website bombay17florist.in. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.

1. Who we are

Bombay17 Florist is a floral design studio based in Mumbai, India, providing floral décor for weddings, engagements, corporate events and private celebrations.

2. Information you give us

When you submit the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect:

  • Your name — so we know who we are speaking to
  • Phone number — to discuss your event
  • Email address — to send you a quote and confirmation
  • Event type and date — to check availability and prepare a proposal
  • Your message — whatever details you choose to share

These fields are the only personal information we ask for. We do not request or store payment card details through this website.

3. How your enquiry is handled

This website has no customer database. When you submit the form, your details are sent directly to our business mailbox as an email and are not written to any database or file on the web server. You also receive an automatic confirmation copy at the email address you provided.

Enquiry emails are delivered to and stored in our business mailboxes, hosted by Hostinger and Google (Gmail). We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to serve you and to maintain ordinary business records, after which it is deleted.

4. Contacting us on WhatsApp

Our website links to WhatsApp so you can message us directly. When you use those links, your conversation takes place on WhatsApp and is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy. WhatsApp is owned by Meta. We see your WhatsApp phone number and whatever you choose to send us.

5. Analytics and advertising

We use two measurement tools to understand how our website is used and how well our advertising works.

Google Analytics 4

Collects anonymous usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type, how you arrived at the site, and how long you stayed. This is used to improve the website. It does not identify you by name.

Meta (Facebook) Pixel

Records when you visit our site and when you make an enquiry, so we can measure whether our Facebook and Instagram advertising is effective and show relevant ads to people likely to be interested in floral décor.

Advanced Matching

If you submit the enquiry form, the Meta Pixel may take the name, email address and phone number you entered, convert them into an irreversible scrambled value (a cryptographic hash) in your browser, and send that value to Meta. Meta uses it to check whether you already have a Meta account so the enquiry can be attributed to the right advertisement.

Your actual email address and phone number are never transmitted in readable form to Meta by this website. If you would rather this did not happen, contact us by phone or WhatsApp instead of using the form.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel set cookies in your browser to recognise returning visitors and measure sessions. We do not use cookies to store your personal details, and this website has no login system.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and use browser privacy modes or ad-blocking extensions to prevent these tools loading. The website works normally either way — none of our pages or the enquiry form depend on tracking.

7. Other services that load on this site

Some parts of our website are delivered by third parties. When your browser loads them it shares your IP address with those providers:

  • Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site
  • Font Awesome (via Cloudflare) — the icons
  • jsDelivr — the image lightbox used in our gallery
  • Google Maps — the location map on our contact page
  • Hostinger — our web host, which keeps standard server access logs

8. What we never do

  • We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
  • We do not share your enquiry details with other florists, vendors or marketing lists.
  • We do not send marketing emails to people who have only made an enquiry.
  • We do not collect sensitive information such as financial, health or government ID data.

9. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access — ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate or incomplete
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your enquiry and details
  • Withdraw consent — tell us to stop using your information
  • Grievance redressal — raise a complaint about how we handled your data

To exercise any of these, email bombay17florist@gmail.com with the details you used when contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally within 30 days.

10. Children

Our services are aimed at adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

11. Security

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and enquiry emails are transmitted to our mailbox over an encrypted SMTP connection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website or services change. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last revised.
